Mandy has been kayaking for the past 11 seasons and has assisted Blues City Kayaks since 2021. This year Mandy earned her ACA Level 2 river kayaking instructor certification along with her ACA Paddlesports Safety Facilitator and Kayak Fishing endorsements. Along with being an ACA certified instructor, Mandy is a lifeguard, whitewater kayaker, member of the Wolf River Conservancy, and a member of the Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association. In early 2023 she became a Tennessee Naturalist, which will enrich the information shared during our tours and is useful for leading programs at Pinecrest Camp and Retreat. Mandy enjoys most water sports including long distance open swimming, paddle boarding, and fishing…also camping in her toy hauler, riding trails or back roads on a street-legal dirt bike. If you are a supporter of the arts, you’ll see her working at Germantown Performing Arts Center, volunteering Overton Shell, Theatre Memphis, WYXR 91.7, Arrow Creative or attending a local show. Kinda like where’s Waldo but instead of the striped shirt, look for the purple round glasses!
Al is passionate about kayaking and is a great addition to the Blues City Kayaks guide team.
