The class will also cover topics such as navigation, safety, and environmental awareness. You will be taught by experienced instructors who are passionate about hiking and the outdoors.
Blues City Kayaks' Wilderness First Aid (WFA) class through the Emergency Care and Safety Institute is a two-day (16 hour) course that teaches participants the skills and knowledge they need to provide first aid in remote settings where medical help may be hours or days away. The course covers a wide range of topics and is taught by ECSI certified instructors who can provide hands-on training and realistic scenarios. Participants will learn how to use improvised materials to provide first aid in the wilderness, and they will develop the skills and confidence they need to help others in an emergency.
