The upstream access point from here is too far away for a day trip.
The downstream access point from here is Highway 18.
The section of river beginning here is just under 9 miles long. The first couple of mile have very little current, but the paddler's patience will be rewarded when the current picks up. This section is perfect for the beginner paddler with the caveat that 9 miles may be a long way for someone's first trip.
This sections is marked with beautiful cypress trees, a couple of cypress swamps, bottomland hardwoods, and beautiful birds. This section is highly recommended for a paddlers first trip on the Hatchie River.
The downstream access point from here is Highway 100.
This section is similar to Highway 64 to Highway 18 but just a few miles longer. The previous section is just under 9 miles and the section starting here is just under 12. Technically speaking this is an easy section of river, however, exposure and exhaustion will be challenges for the inexperienced paddler.
